My Outdoor Wood Burner CHEAP HEAT!!!
A brief description of my outdoor wood furnace. This particular stove is a HEATMOR Model 200CSS. This stove is capable of heating up to 5000 square feet (my house is only 1600 sq/ft). Although an outdoor stove is has an expensive price tag (mine retails for $7300) they will pay for themselves in about 5 or 6 years. Last winter my propane expense was around $600/month. I can heat my home with wood for about $100/month if I buy it pre-cut. If I cut my own, it would be even cheaper. An outdoor wood stove is also better on the environment because it reduces our need for fossil fuels, and wood is a renewable resource.
